ABOUT US
Venus La Universal was born from a heartbeat. Not from an idea, but from a necessity: to live meaningfully, to sustain beauty, to listen to what the earth wants to say when we don’t interrupt it. We are Sara Pérez and René Barbier, and also the family that grew up here, in Falset, among vines, barrels, and children’s laughter. Our winery is both home and craft. Here, wine is not manufactured: it is accompanied. We do it with the same patience with which a family is raised, with the same mixture of intuition and doubt that life holds. Venus does not aim to be perfect. It aims to be true. A place where wine, time, emotion, and art coexist without asking permission.

Our wines are not born to impress. They are born to move. They are the translation of a landscape that speaks in many dialects: light, altitude, stone, wind, and patience. Venus La Universal is serene depth, memory, and beauty that needs no fanfare.
VITICULTURE
The vineyard is our oldest language. We walk it slowly, look at it closely, listen to it as one listens to a loved one. In Montsant, nothing is easy or fast: the landscape has character, and the land changes with every step. There is granitic sand that illuminates, clay that retains moisture, limestone that tenses, granite that perfumes, and slate that deepens. Each plot has its memory and its way of breathing. We don’t come to impose; we come to converse: with the climate, with the plant, with the hands that care for it, with the families who, harvest after harvest, sustain this place. Viticulture at Venus is attention and respect. A silent gesture that, with time, becomes wine.

The winery is the heart where everything we’ve seen outside is transformed without losing its truth. Here, wine doesn’t rush: it stays, waits, learns.
