Òrbita Venus is the name we use to group together several projects driven by René Barbier and Sara Pérez that were born with the desire to explore other ways of understanding wine.
These are projects that allow us to work with other territories, other varieties, and other ideas, with a more open gaze and greater freedom to experiment. Many of these wines are made at the La Figuera cooperative, a space that allows for a more flexible and creative way of working.
Puños Fuera (La Conca) represents the more experimental and casual side of Òrbita Venus. It is a project that works mainly with grapes from Conca de Barberà, a historic area of Catalan viticulture that allows for the production of fresher and lighter wines.
The idea is to craft vibrant, direct, and easy-to-drink wines that maintain a clear connection to the origin of the grapes, without following rigid models or predefined styles.

In this project, we work mainly with traditional Catalan varieties such as:
• Trepat
• Macabeu
• Parellada
These varieties, which for many years played a secondary role, today show great potential for producing light, fresh, and very expressive wines.

The origin of the project began with the first trials with Trepat. In 2020, with the collaboration of Mariona and Albert, and their brother Oriol, from Succès Vinícola, we resumed working with this variety. The idea was to craft a Trepat different from those that existed at the time, seeking both complexity and lightness.
Shortly after, we also began collaborating with Jordi and Sònia from Carlania, which allowed the project to expand. From that moment on, we began working two Trepat estates and one Macabeu estate, and thus the Òrbita Venus family of wines began to grow, also incorporating a rosé and a white.
From here, we want to thank them for opening the doors of Barberà de la Conca to us, its landscape and its vineyards, so different from ours and yet so special.
Inspired by the work of Willy Pérez and Ramiro Ibáñez in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in the Jerez region, we also incorporated aging under flor yeast in some of these wines. This technique allows us to provide depth and complexity, especially to the rosé and the white, where the Macabeu, thanks to its higher alcohol content, facilitates the development of this aging process.
Puños Fuera is also characterized by its groundbreaking visual language. The bottles feature striking and highly recognizable labels, with intense colors and provocative images that move away from the classic language of wine. This aesthetic is part of the project’s identity and reflects the free and vibrant character of its wines.
Wines from La Conca
Òrbita Venus Trepat
Red wine made with Trepat, a very characteristic variety of Conca de Barberà. It is a fresh and aromatic wine, with notes of red fruit and spices, and a light structure that makes it very easy to drink.
Òrbita Venus Macabeu
White wine that seeks a pure expression of this historic Catalan variety. It presents notes of white fruit and citrus, with a balanced texture and a very gastronomic character.
Òrbita Venus Parellada
Delicate and aromatic wine that explores the most elegant side of this traditional variety, with floral notes and a very lively acidity.
Òrbita Venus Macabeu & Trepat
Rosé that combines both varieties to create a fresh, light, and very expressive wine, where the red fruit of the Trepat blends with the texture of the Macabeu.
The Sindicat de la Figuera project was born from the relationship with the small village of La Figuera, located at one of the highest points of the Montsant mountain range.
It is a very unique place where Garnatxa has historically been cultivated, yielding wines with a different character: lighter, fresher, and with a very particular energy.

The relationship with the village began in the early 2000s, when grapes from its vineyards were first tasted. Those wines were surprising for their character and sparked an interest in getting to know the winegrowers and the landscape of the place more closely.
Over time, it became clear that these vineyards were at risk of disappearing due to the lack of a generational handover and the difficulty of working mountain vineyards.
More than creating signature wines, the goal is to give a voice to the vineyards and the village, helping to keep this territory and its wine culture alive.
The altitude, the wind, and the soils mean that the Garnatxas of La Figuera have a very particular profile: elegant, fresh, and tense wines that are surprising within a Mediterranean landscape.
Wines from Sindicat de la Figuera
Sindicat de la Figuera
Red wine made with Red Garnatxa from the village’s vineyards. It seeks to capture the essence of La Figuera: elegance, freshness, and a very pure expression of the landscape.
Sindicat de la Figuera Rosé
Rosé made from the same Garnatxa vineyards. It is a fresh and delicate wine that shows another interpretation of the territory’s character and the work of its winegrowers.
